About Us – Global Visionaries Network

Reaching Out to Communities, Inspiring Hope from International to Local

History of the Organization

Founded in 2017, the Global Visionaries Network was established with the clear vision to alleviate poverty, advocate for quality education, and promote peace. The organization’s journey begins with its founder, Etoh Anzah Herbert Atsa, a survivor of gun violence who witnessed firsthand the devastating consequences of war in Northwest Cameroon, His personal tragedy and the profound impact of his experiences catalyzed the creation of this mission-driven organization.

Etoh was raised in a peaceful community which was altered one fateful day in 2017 when gunmen opened fire at local population protesting and advocating for better living conditions and to end the Marginalization of the Minority Anglophone community in Northwest and Southwest Cameroon. He narrowly escaped with his life, but the incident left him physically and emotionally scarred. The violence that day shattered the sense of safety He once took for granted and opened his eyes to the vulnerability of his community and the wider world.

In the years that followed, Etoh traveled to conflict zones across the globe, working with humanitarian organizations. It was during these travels, in war-torn regions, that He witnessed the far-reaching impact of poverty, poor access to education, and the destructive nature of violence, the link point between Climate change and Conflict, The loss of life, the suffering of displaced families, and the lack of opportunity for the youth in these regions left a lasting mark in his heart.

In 2019, after years of reflecting on her experiences and the tragedy He had survived, Etoh decided to take action. He founded The Global Visionaries Network with a mission to bring young likeminded persons to address the root causes of violence and poverty, He understood that the cycle of violence often begins with lack of education, opportunities, and understanding. His vision was clear: to break this cycle through grassroots efforts focused on providing quality education, creating economic opportunities, and building lasting peace in the most vulnerable communities.

With a focus on education, the Global Visionaries first project was (QUALITY EDUCATION FOR ALL) which aimed at providing quality Education to vulnerable children and children who were displaced as a result of the conflict, where violence and war had devastated local infrastructure including schools and churches. By providing access to quality education, the organization aimed to create a generation that could rise above the trauma of violence and work towards peace and prosperity. VISNET GLOBAL has a Resume of over 1000+ children who have benefited from the project at all levels from primary to university and vocational trainings.

Through collaboration with local governments, other organizations, and volunteers, the Global Visionaries Network has grown into a beacon of hope for communities around the world. Etoh’s leadership and resilience have inspired others to join the cause, making VISNET GLOBAL an emerging global force advocating for peace, education,  and sustainable economic growth.

Today, the Visionaries Network continues to serve as a reminder that even in the face of overwhelming violence and loss, one can rise above tragedy to create a better, more peaceful world for future generations. Etoh’s journey from survivor to advocate for change exemplifies the power of resilience and the unwavering belief that a brighter tomorrow is possible.
